Review of Hollywood Cop (1987) by Drago? C — 28 Nov 2014
Amir Shervan's most competent film, Hollywood Cop is still a raucous good time. An unwilling pastiche of the buddy cop movie, Hollywood cop is no Samurai cop in terms of absurd but it does manage to jam in demented criminals, muslim revenge beheadings, sped-up chases and other bafflingly incomprehensible bits.
To note is that this movies features a bit of Cameron Mitchell in full Terror in Beverly Hills Angry police captain mode. Perhaps those two movies coexist in the same universe? Perhaps all LA-centric bad movies coexist? One can dream.
