Review of Hoffa (1992) by Joe S — 20 Jul 2010
Like the more recent "Last King of Scotland," the film features a main character (DeVito) drawn from multiple persons. Inevitably, this device leads to serious departures from the real story, departures that were not necessary (Hoffa's story hardly needs embellishment).
The portrayal of Hoffa's disappearance is especially anti-climatic. Verdict: "Hoffa", forgotten, and for good reason.
