Review of Hobo with a Shotgun (2011) by Ken C — 29 Nov 2011
This was a pretty impressive feature film for a Canadian film. Though, like Machete, it's based on a fake commercial made for the Canadian showings of Grindhouse, they do a pretty good job with the movie.
It's pretty straight forward, Rutger Hauer plays a hobo who gets to a town filled with violence and depravity. He decides to take his own kind of justice by killing all the bad guys with a shotgun.
The Plague were really cool villains and Rutger Hauer was great. It was a little slow at times and the small amount of nudity there is was pretty weak but overall it was inventive, not very often you see someone lose their hand then kill someone with the boney stump.
