Review of Hitman: Agent 47 (2015) by Mary W — 05 Sep 2015
Brecon Indie Reviews Mary Wood.
I attempted to be "Straight up," with Rupert, during the 1+ years, I followed him on twitter, actually getting some tweets into his feed. I also did so on via "Who Say." Certainly, not often.
I took great interest in this young man's acting abilities, upon his earliest films and not again, until Homeland, where his character should have been stretched, much more and dynamically, at least, by his second season, consistent with his abilities.
He is one of the most gifted Actors, to portray real, gut affect, (Coming from a Clinical background, expressions, detailing emotion), I have seen. Character development, detailed, including the most personal, viscerally moving, funny and "mundane," are the CORE to great Cinema of any kind, as the writing from whence it came.
Everyone who knows me, knows I don't place people in categories of importance in Society, perhaps a bit, the people in need, at the top. Celebrities, especially in the USA, hoards, binging every morsel of shit possible, is embarrassing. I will also say exactly what I think to anyone, as I roll old school, straight up. I hold no respect for using Social Media in place of honesty and hate the absence of face to face interaction. Â Of course, Celebrities who set the table, crave it, need it and need to ask themselves WHY? Rupert, sometimes, interfaces with fans, via 15-30 minute warnings, as if everyone were watching in wait, for a Rupert Friend Q&A.
Over this following period, more complimentary than not, I did, advise him about some of these things, as a much older and wiser person. Eventually, he must have been particularly pissed and blocked me, which was a really hateful thing to do and very hurtful. I never, ever tweeted him anything out of anything but kindness and I thought help.
I was and am very interested in STARRED UP, from inception, as a Retired, Assistant and Acting Warden and offered both his Movie Site and Rupert a Review.
I haven't watched it yet. I suppose all of the atrocities seen and publicized are for not, in regards to any follow up, to help change an abhorrent system, I first saw, on Gordon Ramsey's Show.
All of these words are a preface to the last bit of advise, I gave this young man, who is going 200mph, doing too many things at once, as if he is on a stopwatch, with an internal soul bleeding, that must be saved. He needs to slow down, choose his parts wisely and not become type cast. Obviously, here, he has been, rather in a "Sniper," Homeland manner, far interior, according to Reviewers. I warned him specifically about this in WhoSay and he erased it.
He is far too talented, yet, if spread into too many arenas, as he may become a Master of none. Be the case, a tragic waste of talent, I know is full of emotion, extraordinary delivery, as are the elite Actors, Songwriters and Musicians.
These, live forever Artists, are able to unabashedly, pull it out, from deep inside and skillfully make the audience feel as they do. Â .
I would not give up one lesson learned by Mentors, Patients, Inmates, Friends, Asses, Family. .
Maybe, Rupert, be the case, you shouldn't look at yourself as better than other people, embellish your status or achievements, but earn them. You, certainly have, some. .
Maybe, you shouldn't look at a person, who is honest, predicted what would happen, advised you, wasn't an.
Ass-kisser, as the enemy, but the opposite.
The advise, I give everyone, did you and was erased, is to live your passion, but, not at the cost of your overall life.
Focus on the area you are most passionate in and be patient and discerning. The person you have to feel good about you, foremost, is you. .
I hope you make the decision, whatever it be, you truly wish, by heart, considering your whole life and future regarding this series going to TV.
I do, with utmost sincerity, wish you nothing but great Dramatic/Mix Roles, as you are a talented dude. Such a shame, we have never met, me older, wise and funny as hell, English as well. .
Best of luck, and true happiness in all areas of your life and self.
I shall simply post my STARRED UP Review, when I can. I am too busy with prior Music commitments and on sick leave. This caught me on another sleepless night.
Sincerely,.
Mary Wood.
