It can't really be compared to the the greats, Blazing Saddles, The Producers, and The Young Frankenstein. But still, it is Mel Brooks and History Of The World :Part 1 is still a classic comedy. Plus you get some of his best quotes like "It's good to be the king," and "I'm a stand-up philosopher!" It's quotes like those that make classic Mel Brooks hard to beat.
