Review of His Girl Friday (1940) by Michael P — 04 Dec 2011
One of the finest romantic comedies of all time, showing true talent from Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. With about 200 pages of screenplay, they crammed it all in at one hour and thirty minutes, making out about a hundred words per minute, which definitely highlights their talent of acting.
This screwball comedy gives a major impact on film today, and possibly forever. I watched this on TCM's "Summer Under The Stars" featuring a marathon on Ralph Bellamy, who co-stars in His Girl Friday, the wolf man, The Professionals, Dive Bombers, and more.
You'll love this classic comedy, its funnier then you think.
