Review of Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) by Chris O — 10 Sep 2009
There is no denying that this is truly a great, powerful piece of cinema, but unfortunately it kept me at arm's length the entire time. I just couldn't connect with it on any sort of level beyond the intellectual.
Still, it's chock full of haunting imagery, and the two leads deliver superb performances.
