Review of Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) by Brad G — 11 Nov 2010

"There can be only one." Unless more aliens--wait, this is the renegade cut meaning they're not aliens but just some guys from "the distant past" exiled to our future--come down to our planet therefore becoming immortal themselves and having to do head chopping battle with Christopher Lambert.

Theatrical or Renegade Cut, Highlander II is a dreadful bore stretching the bounds of even this insane franchise's reality. Michael Ironside, however, is almost as delightfully hammy as the original's Clancy Brown and I could probably watch his evil Immortal cut threw swathes of innocent subway bystanders for hours on end.

So, skip this sequel and jump right on over to the Mario Van Peebled third film...which is also kinda lame, but a little less. VF.
