Review of Highlander (1986) by Brendan O — 24 May 2010
There should had been only one. The first and I wish was the only Highlander movie was truly a guilty pleasure with genuine moments of depth and was actually quite moving in some areas but was peppered with little bits of intense stupidity (example; Clancy Brown assembling a sword).
The cast is fantastic, Lambert, Connery, Hart and Brown really shines here. The scope of Highlander is spectacular from New York to The Scottish Highlands and a truly original story. Highlander's a movie which definitely deserves it's cult status.
