Review of Highlander (1986) by Lobo S — 10 Apr 2010

This movie was rough to watch. It was recommended to me, so I watched it, but I can't say that I enjoyed it. The story was obscure and not having seen or even knowing what the original TV show was about definitely hurt this.

Over the first half of the movie I had no clue what was going on between the old celtic scenes and the modern times scenes. The acting was pretty mediocre at best, as with the directing. The visuals are dated, as per being made in the 80s, but it wasn't trying to impress anyone even with the technology available at the time.

I can't say that I'm interested in watching any of the incredible number of sequels there seems to be. And I found it fascinating that the "one" can reproduce after all the others can't? Whatever.
