Review of High Fidelity (2000) by Karen N — 17 Dec 2012
Essentially the adult version of "Say Anything..." it's equally as fantastic. Again, what strikes me is just how genuine the relationships are presented, and of-the-moment analysis of just what is going on is really fun (although probably beyond the powers of most of us emotional wrecks).
Rob Gordon takes a tour of his previous girlfriends and learns, from them, the mutual missteps and the contours of the different personalities: where they gelled and where they didn't. In that he finds out he's been sabotaging himself all along, yet he could little else being totally immature about relationships.
Must-see.
