I'm a live and let live kind of guy but i've never thought the drug-fueled, alternative-lifestyle living, never-worked an honest day of labor in their life world of the artist was something cool.
maybe it's my working roots... but that aspect of the movie turned me off. it worked on some other levels I guess but honestly I just couldn't connect with any of the characters... I didn't really like any of them.
it's a well crafted story and the performances are good (and for those reasons I give it 3 stars) but ultimately it left me feeling cold.
