Easily now one of my favorite films. From start to finish "High and Low" has you hooked, begenning with a somewhat unrelated sequences to the rest of the film. (main plot wize, but it does have a purpose) Fantastic acting by Mifune and the 'wrong doer' Visually compelling and thematicaly potent.
I did not expect liking this so much.
