Review of High and Low (1963) by Mikael K — 14 Oct 2009
Another Kurosawa film I never really learned how to appreciate. As often with his films, I felt here as well that nothing was exactly wrong, the movie had a solid subject and some very good scenes, but the whole of it just left me unimpressed.
I guess I lack the sensitivity for nuance that appreciating this story requires.
