Review of Hide and Seek (2005) by Jimmy B — 18 Dec 2011
Never has Robert DeNiro been restrained to the point of seeming like he was on five Xanax. He practically yawns his way through this film. It's illogical that Dakota never once mentions that Charlie is really her father before the screenwriter wants the audience to know.
And once we see "Charlie" in action, are we really expected to believe that he is more fun than Dad? This was the type of script that would have gotten me a C- grade in college. Anyone wanting to see evidence of DeNiro's leap from grace, should sit through this awful mess of a movie.
And to think Godsend which came out the year prior is actually worse.
