The ending. It all comes down to the ending. It can work in a movie or it can completely ruin it. With Hide and Seek, it does the latter.
It's a shame, too, because the movie has a very creepy, unnerving atmosphere to it along with a clever premise. It all works until the big "twist" ending. It's dumb, lazy, incomprehensible and predictable to a fault.
