Review of Hidden Figures (2016) by Emkadv — 19 Jan 2017

This is a wonderful movie. It tells a fascinating story and tells it well. These three women rise above the racial and gender discrimination of the time to do a service to their country and its manned space program. The performances are uniformly excellent and make the characters seem like real people, not symbols.

I am old enough to remember how the Shepard and Glenn Mercury flights ended, but I still felt a sense of tension around their depiction.
