Review of Hesher (2010) by Matthew P — 18 Jul 2011
This movie was brilliant. The actors all do their job wonderfully. The soundtrack is great music. My eyes were glued to the screen in the theater. I laughed, (almost) cried, and felt a connection with the characters. This is now one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. All of those treating it so harshly are either:
1. Rich kids who never have to fight for anything or experience trauma.
2. Optimists who love movies with no conflict and overused pop music.
3 (also applied to 1 and 2). NOT THE TARGET AUDIENCE OF THIS MOVIE!
Also, the majority of the critics who reviewed this movie are old fogies who, honestly, wouldn't like/get this movie anyway. Who sends a 40-50 year old man to review a film which has a soundtrack of Metallica, Motorhead, and f-bombs? I mean honestly. Get use more young reviewers who watch metalesque movies and THEN give it reviews.
