Review of Hesher (2010) by Zed C — 05 Aug 2011
"Hesher" is very well acted. Levitt is (as always) spetacular with the title character. Wilson gets a cliche from the script and turns into a person. Portman and Brochu hit all the right notes.
That said, the movie grows pointless and unsatisfying scene after scene, trying too hard to be something that doesn't have the natural potential to be. At the end, Hesher is an amazing character, but the movie doesn't seem to have a clue about what to do with him.
Actually, it's hard to find anything that really "clicks" here.
