Review of Hesher (2010) by Bad T — 18 Sep 2011
First, Levitt rocks. He's got the look, the move, the stance, everything he does works. Is this his first real lead role in a film? He's been around, and he's come a far away since Third Rock from the Sun.
Second, this isn't exactly a comedy, but it's close and it definitely kept my attention. Hesher walks a thin line between someone you like and someone you hate. He's an ass of the first degree, but he almost accidentally saves a family.
He's a thug and a criminal, but here is a few moments of life where he does a few good things for a family so broken it can't function. I don't need to own it, but I won't forget I saw it.
