Review of Hero (2015) by Don A — 09 Apr 2010
After my second view of this, I think I liked it even better. 'Hero' is a sensational martial arts epic, head and shoulders above most other films of its type (with the possible exception of 'Flying Daggers' which I think I enjoyed slightly more.
The direction is tight, the costumes, camera-work and screenplay are almost unequalled, and the use of colour is absolutely striking. Jet Li is solid as 'Nameless', and the fight sequences are something that has to be seen to be believed.
A magnificent film, highly recommended.
