Review of Herø (2001) by Daniel C — 31 Aug 2014
Spike Jonze's "her" is both heartbreakingly honest and futuristicly hopeful in its content. Beautifully shot and beautifully written, "her" is this decade's "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
This film is Spike's response to ex-wife Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation. While 'Translation deals with her being alone in a relationship,"her" deals with Spike's post breakup.
