Review of Herø (2001) by Dan M — 02 Nov 2014
This film ticks a lot of boxes for me but also left some boxes annoyingly untouched.
Through Spike Jonze's tinted camera, we were given ultramodern world with a retro feel. Who would have known that "handwriting" letters would be a commercially viable business in a world where an OS is advanced enough to converse with the sexy voice of Scarlette Johasson and performs what is akin to phone sex?
Unfortunately, human still desire an exclusive love.
It numbs me to see someone running around the places one frequent to find a "lost" OS, as if the "connection" would be better that way. The more intelligent remains the artificial one, where she understands the pain of existing between words. We need to read between the lines!
