Review of Herø (2001) by Mayurakshi D — 06 Jul 2018
A one of a kind cutting edge film where a man falls in love with his computer's Operating System. Considering the rapid rise of AI today, the plot does not really seem too far into the future either.
While the story might seem absurd to some, the way the movie lays out it is highly nuanced and beautiful. The way a lonely, depressed man falls in love with the cheerful and breezy OS, voiced by the sensuous Scarlet Johansson, is portrayed in a highly relatable fashion.
The performances are fantastic, but the screenplay is the winner. With emotions running high and the right kind of spotlight on it, the movie leaves the viewer with the experience of a lifetime.
