The delibrate, atmospheric exploration of the family dynamic crawls under your skin for the first two acts, delivering a burst of flame after a slow burn. Toni Collette shines with incredible intensity, as the matriarch whose art, literally building miniatures of moments from her life, provide her with the control she lacks in reality.
Subtle touches and even some obvious foreshadowing develop into what has to be my favorite, haunting horror since the original Wicker Man or Rosemary's Baby. If you're looking for obvious jump scare fare, this may not be for you, but true genre fans will love it.
