Big horror movie fan here. Hard to find something so true to the horror films that I LOVE like The Exorcist, The Shining, Paranormal Activity, Blair Witch, etc. I can see how this movie could fail to appeal to some, but to me it has earned a place in the horror movie hall of fame.
Untraditional in delivery in its ever darkening plot that makes the viewer umuncomfortable in the psychological undertone that transitions into the supernatural. The movie climaxes into a revelation of such a disturbing and unfathomable horror that would please the likes of H.
P. Lovecraft. Keeps you thinking after the movie ends. Appreciate the extrordinary and captivating use of minimimal practical effects and not relying on CGI hardly at all. A horror masterpiece.
