Clever, unsettling, and bone-chillingly frightening, Hereditary abandons most horror movie tropes and uses its familiar premise to deliver an atmospheric and suspenseful experience that's well-acted, beautifully shot, and keeps you on your toes, strung together by a powerhouse performance by Toni Collette and a reminder that horror movies don't need to be filled with jump scares and gore to be scary, it just needs to be scary!
