Review of Hereditary (2018) by Lien O — 06 Jan 2019
Are we getting scared yet? A question I found myself asking often while watching Hereditary. Part psychological thriller, part horror, and in the end doesnt quite pull either one off, but comes close enough to be eerily entertained for the full 2hr +.
Great acting throughout, especially Collete who channeled her best Shelley Duvall from The Shining. Ultimately, the movie falls victim to vague connections that leave you thinking your finally connecting the dots but ends up being yet another plot hole, leaving you feeling confused, and then just plain ol bored.
