Review of Hereditary (2018) by Themolester — 26 Jun 2018
The movie does a good job balancing a more Babadook-ish, psychological sort of horror meant to make you uneasy and in constant tension, with actual scsry elements that you expect to see in a major horror production —but definitely without cheap jump scares.
Could have been better: the supernatural element could have been a bit more subtle (there is one short scene where it almost made me laugh), but overal, the movie deserves an 7.5/10 for a horror film.
