Review of Hereditary (2018) by Whoischarlotte — 01 Jul 2018
A good modern day horror that doesn't rely on jump scares? That is Hereditary. This gives off the true atmosphere and feeling of a older horror classic, such as The Shining. It uses cinematography in a creative way, while also making scares from sound and visual aspects.
I really found myself at the edge of my seat, gasping during this film and it created so many questions and made me feel genuinely shocked. I found myself linking back parts of the story to things I saw earlier one which weren't too obvious before.
I highly recommend checking this out. In a world full of 'horror' films like Truth or Dare and Unfriended, watch Hereditary.
