Review of Hereditary (2018) by Sam M — 02 Jul 2018

Hereditary is a slow burn that takes it's time to get into the 'horror' aspect but builds a good level of anxiety and dread from the get go, which is welcomed as opposed to jump scares. The ending does go off the rails a little in regards to the plot, which did require some post movie reading to fully grasp and understand what was happening.

Overall it delivered as a horror, one that kept me on edge with more than one shocking and horrifying moment.
