Review of Hereditary (2018) by Skyler P — 06 Jul 2018
While it definitely won't appeal to many mainstream viewers, I found Hereditary to be an incredibly unsettling art house horror film that relies on realistic family drama and shocking supernatural moments to slowly but surely get under your skin before unleashing an extremely intense horror climax full of gruesome imagery and mind-numbing intensity.
The film also features excellent direction, atmospheric cinematography, great acting all around, and an unbelievably amazing performance from the criminally underrated Toni Collette. It's quite honestly one of the best horror films I've ever seen.
