Review of Hereafter (2010) by Scott H — 21 Jun 2011
What a disappointment. Matt Damon in a Clint Eastwood directed movie seemed like something that would make a perfect movie but it ended up being a waste of 2 hours of my life. For starters the movie was slow and methodical throughout the entire thing.
I had to turn my speakers up to almost double the usual volume because for some reason every conversation was in a whisper voice. I almost thought I had gotten the wrong movie because Matt Damon did not appear in the film until 30 minutes in and then he was not even the "main" character until toward the end.
The concept was kind of neat but it was played out so poorly. I kept checking the clock hoping it would end soon, now thats the sign of a bad movie. And the ending, horrible, just plain horrible. Do not be fooled into thinking this is another great Eastwood film, it is by far his worst and one of the worst films I have seen in awhile.
