Review of Hereafter (2010) by Muntasim T — 13 Jun 2011
An unusual movie from the director Clint Eastwood which explores the possibilities of afterlife. This movie was banned in Japan and it is not hard to see why after the breathtakingly realistic tsunami sequence in the beginning of the film.
Well acted, but fans would surely be disappointed with the sparse presence of Matt Damon in an unusual role(he is in one of the three connected stories and the other actors are nowhere near as well known as him).
Drags slightly at times, but still worth a look for the direction of Eastwood and intense performance from all the lead actors. Caution though against people allergic to subtitles â" one of the story is mostly in French and in subtitles.
