Review of Here Comes the Boom (2012) by Caroline J — 21 Mar 2013
Here comes the boom. I missed this one at pics, and it looked worth a watch. Scott Voss (james) is a Biology teacher in a high school that rapidly needs funds to keep it a float. The cuts are taking its toll and after threats to cut the music department Scott decides to help along with a few friends and teachers to raise funds to keep the department going. Scott is a martial arts fighter and begins to compete to raise the necessary money for the school.
Scott starts out average and gains some excellent trainers and experience, along with all this he gets the lady he has always wanted, fellow teacher, Bella (hayek).
The movie itself is nothing that has'nt already been done and out there. Its thin on the comedy side however its charm kept me glued watching it. Links to UFC for those who enjoy that, the fight scenes are not very gruesome so it's ok for the younger people to watch. All in all average and a nice come back from James. See if you enjoy the campaign.
