Review of Here Comes the Boom (2012) by Siss0Rmetimbers — 05 May 2023

This is a criminally underrated movie. It has a nice, motivational story if a bit of a silly setup, but other than that is very relatable. It is a movie about picking yourself up and revitalizing an otherwise stagnant life with the hope of giving something back to the world.

Its not perfect but there's some decent humor, a relatively believable setup that shows with a work hard attitude you can accomplish anything, and pretty fantastic fight scenes, especially the penultimate showdown.

This movie isn't supposed to be Pulp Fiction, Rocky, or Anchorman. Its a fighting movie with a bit of humor mixed in and a story about turning your life around. Don't think about it too much, its not supposed to be deep, and not everything that's good has to be.
