Not terribly bad. Not amazing or impressive from an acting stand point, but it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. It had a pretty unique storyline for Herbie, and Herbie is still Herbie, just with a few CGI'D insides and tricks up his sleeve.
But the mechanical aspects of all of the Car Stunts is pretty awesome.
