I'm super happy I FINALLY saw this film. It has been on my to-do list for awhile and I finally made it to one of the screenings at the National Gallery of Art where a significant portion of their collection ended up.
It was amazing to see how well the film captured their genuine love for art. And it was refreshing how they transformed the image of the collector. They made art seem tangible.
I didn't realize how much I was going to identify with this couple given that I have no interest in collecting anything. I don't even buy books. But I completely understood the love that drove them to amass such a collection.
