Review of Henry's Crime (2010) by Aneta T — 15 Jan 2011
Disappointing! Mostly let down by the script. Often feeling long and boring, with some rare good scenes. The premise doesn't work. The main character is so annoying that it took a very long time for me to get used to him.
And even then, the story doesn't hold with this type of personality: why would someone who doesn't express his feelings and is not aware of of them be taken seriously as an actor? The story lacks focus and oscillates between a bitter comedy trying to play around absurdity and drama.
The balance is not quite right. James Caan has a nice 2nd role which helps but doesn't save the film.
