Review of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) by John W — 02 Jun 2009
A very shocking, perturbing, and immersing film. There are many films that rely on graphic violence for effect, rather than purpose, and "Henry: Portraits of a Serial Killer" is not one of them. There are a few scenes that legitimately disturbed me. The characterizations are spot-on, and the grimy style of the film adds to an already chilling atmosphere. This is a very well-done, low-budget film. If you don't feel even a little shocked by the contents of the film, there is something wrong with you.
8.5/10.
