Review of Henry Poole Is Here (2008) by David H — 26 Sep 2009
This is a surprisingly moving and powerful film about faith, miracles and the human spirit. A man who has only six weeks to live buys a home to die in. The problem is that one of the outside walls has a water stain that resembles the face of Christ.
...suddenly strange healings and unexpected visitors ensue. Luke Wilson gives a surprisingly wonderful dramatic performance and Adriana Barraza is fantastic. This is a real sleeper movie that you may have to hunt to find in your local cinemas, but look for it, it's worth it.
