Review of Henry Fool (1998) by Annie C — 27 Jun 2008
Everything about this film is a little off. The dialogue doesn't seem natural, the plot seems to just spread itself out like liquid, and the acting is at times almost too over the top and at others almost too low key.
Oddly enough, in the end, this works strangely well; all these elements coming together to form a cinematic experience that is, itself, almost poetic...almost...and that's just fine.
