Review of Helvetica (2007) by Michael Y — 03 May 2010
Saw during SXSW 2008. A really surprisingly interesting and well made documentary about the typeface and it's impact on modern design and society.
Other than some small problems with the film's pacing in some parts, the documentary is a very entertaining and informative film. A definitely must-see for any graphic designers/typographers.
After the SXSW 2008 screening, there was also an interesting Q&A with the producers who also got into a discussion of Helvetica and the inferior Microsoft font type Arial.
