Review of Hellzapoppin' (1941) by Art S — 06 Aug 2010
Pretty psychotic in the "what were they thinking?" vein. Loosely held together slapstick, oddball comedians, surreal throwaways, and musical numbers. Just when you think it is waning, something bizarre happens.
The Broadway show ran for 1400 performances, but the majority of these performers are long since forgotten.
