Review of Hellraiser: Inferno (2000) by Muhammed S — 19 Oct 2011
This doesn't really feel like a Hellraiser film, and the puzzle box and Pinhead feel tacked on as a mere afterthought. If anything, this feels like one of those all too common occasions where a script is rejiggled to fit into a horror franchise world. The cenobites are nothing like how they've been established in the previous four films - instead of entering our world to claim the souls of the curious, they are instead content to play mindgames with a detective.
Without the Hellraiser aspects, this could have been an ok supernatural flick, but instead it's rife with inconsistencies. A real shame.
