Review of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) by Brian C — 25 May 2009
Very enjoyable sequel following Pinheads plan to get back into the real world, and not back into Hell where he is bound by rules. Very well done and lots of fun. More great backstory to Pinhead, which makes his character more tragic and even garner sympathy, while at the same time he is so evil and nasty. Very Vader-esque.
My only complaint (and it isn't really valid) is the newly created Cenobites looked just liked the Borg. They were creative though....camera guy and CD guy were cool.
What I appreciate about this series is that is remaining serious. Unlike Nightmare on Elm Street which just becamse comedy and Friday the 13th which became sad formula, this is remaining original and adding more to the mythos.
