Review of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) by Rosie F — 14 Jan 2017
While i'm not the biggest fan of the "Hellraiser" films the first two did provide some good characters, effective musical score and fantastic set designs and costumes, "Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth" does none of that.
The plot is rather uninteresting and the dialogue is no help. The Cenobites look ridiculous, we got camera head Cenobite, the Sony Discman Cenobite, piston head Cenobite. You take one look at them and just laugh, not scary or disturbing.
The musical score feels out of place like it belongs to a wacky Tim Burton movie not a scary horror film with disturbing imagery. I feel bad for Terry Farrell, because she giving a better performance then this movie deserves.
Even Doug Bradly starts giving up towards the end of the film. Overall poor sequel to an above average horror franchise.
