Review of Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002) by Chris S — 09 Aug 2008
Hellseeker once again takes the Hellraiser dynamic and spins it on his head. When Trevor wakes up in a hospital bed after a tragic accident leading to the disappearance (and presumed death) of his wife Kirstie (yes THE Kirstie from past films), he has no recollection of past events, just waves of strong headaches and memories flooding back to him about the car accident. Suddenly, Trevor's world is turned upside down as women throw themselves at him and he begins to experience strange hallucinations...or are they?
Hellseeker is a perfect example of what the Hellraiser series has done so well, take the idea behind the original Hellraiser film and spin a new tale in a whole new way. Most sequels end up being more of the same (not that more is a bad thing!), but Pinhead knows how to fuck with your mind.
Hellseeker definitely stands tall as a great film and should be seen by fans and foes alike. Pinhead will show you the most intense pleasures and pains you have ever experienced....DO IT NOW!
