Very grotesque late 80's squeamish horror. It presents a universe and characters that elegantly lay bare the underlying carnal nature of man while scraping your nerves with truly superb pre-cg special effects.
Unfortunately the effects not related to costume or props is severely lacking and it severely detracts from the atmosphere at certain crucial times.
