Review of Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015) by Rob P — 25 Mar 2016
A good movie is hard to find these days, so do find this one. What a pleasure it is to see a completely professional cast, led by Sally Field and Tyne Daly, deliver the heck out of a fully-realized script.
As the late-middle-age spinster who finds something new after the death of her mother, Field keeps us completely engaged through becoming a hipster icon and an ersatz affair of the heart. With gently jolting plot turns and a pile of laughs, this one's worth shunning the big-budget cape flicks for a couple of hours and escaping into a n extraordinary life that feels true.
